Masculine and Feminine Energy.
I usually spend most of my weekend to myself to balance out the masculine and feminine energy within me. I’ve noticed that I’ve been using a lot of masculine energy lately, especially last week. When I re-read my writing last week, I felt the masculine lingering within my words, I think that’s one of the reasons I love writing because it’s one of the best self-reflections. You learn a lot about yourself in that period of your life throughout your writing.
Masculine energy is activated by:
Self-disciplined — you need your masculine energy to discipline yourself, and by practicing self-discipline, you activate the masculine energy within you. Waking up early, going to the gym, publishing consistently — we practice self-discipline daily to create the life of our dream.
Critical thinking — Masculine energy emphasizes action — using logic, reason and judgment to solve problems. Whenever I work, I learn to set my emotions aside, and tap into my logical and judgment side to solve my problems. I learn to use my skeptical judgment for each matter I encounter and to prioritize the urgency of my daily issues at work.
Self-improvement — involves tapping into your masculine energy to set goal and take daily actions. I have my daily and weekly goals that I set for myself — these small goals make me feel accomplished and focused. Some of the daily goals I have: Publish one article per day, read and engage to 5 articles a day, run for an hour.
You need masculine energy to discipline, work and grow. And you need your feminine energy to nurture, connect and enhance your intuition.
Self-nurturing: Feminine means nurture, you learn to nurture yourself before you learn to nurture others — Cooking yourself a good meal, buying yourself flowers, taking yourself out on a date — learn to nurture and pamper yourself. What makes you feel loved? Learn to make yourself feel loved and you will know how to share the love within to others.
Connect with your body: Dancing, yoga, or even taking a long bath are the ways to connect with your body — listening to what your body tells you — is your skin hydrated, is your hair growing happily, are there any body parts that need extra attentions — when is the last time you listen to your body without any judgment?
Emotional awareness: Every day I would spend an hour to myself to feel my emotions deeply, without any judgment. I usually spend more time on the weekend to allow myself to feel, without taking any actions — not even journaling. I learn to embrace my emotions, even in the moment of silence — by practicing embracing my own emotions, I learn to be comfortable being with myself, in my moments of uncomfortable and silence.
There are a lot of ways to practice masculine and feminine energy, and everyone has their own ways to grow and nurture themselves. These activities change in different period of your life.
The key is balance — when you learn to balance the two energies within you, you will feel whole, you will feel peace.
I hope you enjoy learning about yourself.
I hope you enjoy coming home to yourself before you learn to build the home with others.
Because, at the end of the day, the most important relationship is the one you have with yourself.
Loves,
Tracy
This is cool I like this a lot. I am aware of masculine and feminine traits in me and everyone. Logic v emotions for example. The way you laid this out really made me think. Thanks for writing, I just subscribed.
